orders & shipping
How long until my order ships?
every piece is made to order — printed and packed after you buy. typical timing:
- production: 2–5 business days
- shipping to canada: 3–8 business days
- shipping to united states: 5–12 business days
total from order to delivery: roughly 5–13 business days in canada, 7–17 in the us. drops and high-volume periods can extend this — we'll flag it site-wide if so.
Where do you ship?
we ship to the united states and canada only. orders placed from outside us/ca are refunded automatically within 3 business days.
How much is shipping?
canada: $9 cad flat. free over $120 cad.
united states: $14 usd flat. free over $150 usd.
express shipping isn't available — production time is longer than carrier transit, so paying for faster shipping wouldn't change much. read the full shipping policy.
Can I track my order?
yes. once your label is created we email you a tracking link. it takes 12–24 hours for the first carrier scan to register — that's normal. if there's no movement after 72 hours, email support@blursociety.com.
My order shipped in multiple packages — why?
different products are made at different production facilities. if you order a t-shirt and a hat, they may ship separately and arrive on different days. you'll only ever pay one shipping fee — we cover any additional fulfillment cost.
Can I change my shipping address after ordering?
only within 1 hour of placing your order. after that, production has already started and we can't intercept it. email support@blursociety.com immediately if you spot a mistake — speed matters.
Will I be charged customs or duties?
canada-to-us shipments under $800 usd typically clear customs without duty under us de minimis rules. apparel and accessories at our price points should not generate import fees.
if you ever do get charged a duty at delivery, save the receipt and email us — we'll review case by case.
returns & exchanges
What's your return policy?
because every piece is made to order, we don't accept change-of-mind returns. we do accept:
- defective, damaged, or wrong item shipped: full refund or replacement, on us
- size exchanges: allowed within 30 days, $8 return shipping deducted

How do I start a size exchange?
email support@blursociety.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and the size you want instead. we'll send a return shipping label ($8 deducted from your refund). once we confirm the original piece is unworn and tagged, we place a new order for your correct size at no extra cost.
total exchange turnaround: about 3–4 weeks.
What if my item arrives defective or damaged?
email support@blursociety.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the issue. we'll respond within 24–48 business hours with a replacement, refund, or store credit — your choice.
you keep the defective piece — no need to ship it back unless we ask.
Why no change-of-mind returns?
each blur society piece is made to order. nothing sits in a warehouse — we don't print anything until you buy it. that minimizes waste and lets us run small numbered batches without overproduction.
the trade-off is we can't restock a returned item. accepting change-of-mind returns would mean destroying perfectly good pieces. we'd rather not — so all sales are final unless defective or you need a different size.
I never got my package — it says delivered.
first try:
- check around the property, porches, side doors, mail rooms
- ask neighbors
- wait 24 hours — carriers sometimes scan early
- file a claim with the carrier directly (they hold delivery evidence)
then email support@blursociety.com — we'll help you escalate. if the carrier formally declares the package lost, we'll replace it.
fit & sizing
How do your sizes run?
our cuts are heavyweight and slightly oversized by design — boxier than a standard fit, drop-shoulder construction on most tops. if you're between sizes:
- want a closer fit → size down
- want it more relaxed → stay true to size or up
each product page lists measurements (chest, length, sleeve). compare against a t-shirt you already wear and love. when in doubt, email support@blursociety.com with your usual sizing — we'll help.
Will it shrink after washing?
minimal. our pieces are pre-shrunk during production. wash cold, hang dry or tumble low — you should see less than 3% shrinkage over time. avoid hot wash + hot dry, that's where things go wrong.
How should I care for it?
- cold wash, inside out
- like colors only — blacks with blacks
- tumble dry low or hang dry
- do not iron directly on prints — flip inside out first
- do not dry clean
- do not bleach
follow this and your piece will hold its color and shape for years.
products & drops
Where is your clothing made?
each piece is printed-on-demand at production facilities across north america. blanks (the base garments) come from established apparel manufacturers known for quality heavyweight cotton. designs and the brand are built in british columbia.
What does "made to order" actually mean?
nothing exists until you buy it. when you place an order, we send the design to a production facility — they print it, pack it, and ship it. no warehouse, no shelves, no overproduction. it takes longer than off-the-rack brands, but no piece is ever wasted.
When are new drops?
new pieces and drops are announced via our email list. subscribe at the footer of any page to get drop alerts — one email per volume, no spam, unsubscribe anytime.
Can I get a sample or do you do wholesale?
not at the moment. we run direct-to-consumer only. press, wholesale, or collab inquiries — email hello@blursociety.com with the details.
account & payment
Do I need an account to order?
no. you can check out as guest. but creating an account lets you track orders, save shipping addresses, and access order history — useful if you order more than once.
What payment methods do you accept?
credit and debit cards (visa, mastercard, amex, discover), apple pay, google pay, shop pay, and shop pay installments. all processed securely via shopify — we never see or store your card details.
Is my payment information secure?
yes. all transactions are processed by shopify (pci-dss level 1 certified) over encrypted https. we never store full card numbers. read our privacy policy for details on what we do and don't collect.
Can I use multiple discount codes?
only one discount code per order. promotions, sales, and codes generally can't be stacked. shipping thresholds (free over $120 cad / $150 usd) still apply on top of any discount.
